Allow us, Herbie!

Herbie is our hiking shuttle. He’ll take you to the starting point of a particularly beautiful DIY hike several times a week throughout the summer and fall. He’ll also pick you up again. In addition, there are several guided hikes per week. The tours range from easy to challenging, so there’s something for everyone. Nothing can go wrong, because you’ll receive printed directions for each tour.

Discover the forest from above. “JODY’s tree course” is the new highlight at Hahnbaum and an experience for the whole family. Climbing, hanging, balancing – climbing enthusiasts of all ages get their money’s worth here. There are four routes to experience, a total of 30
stations at heights of up to 20 meters.

Imposing, spectacular, impressive – these are just some of the characteristics that apply to the Liechtensteinklamm gorge and its new attractions. For example, the “Helix” spiral staircase, which extends 30 meters into the depths and offers spectacular insights into the natural spectacle of the Liechtensteinklamm gorge.

On the 1.5 km long 3D archery course in Alpendorf, equipped with 14 stations, archers of all ages can go hunting for lifelike, life-sized wild animals. The hunting range with bow hire and a spacious shooting range is located directly at the valley station of the Alpendorf gondola lift. After the instruction session, visitors head to the bow hunting park, which is equipped with four shooting marks (children, beginners, ladies/men, compound). Visitors spend around two to three hours on the grounds. Also ideal for group outings.

Built with technical know-how and lovingly crafted by hand, the courses are sure to amaze visitors. For example, the “Liechtensteinklamm” with a challenging helix obstacle, a locomotive that makes its rounds on the course or a lifelike replica of the Pongau Cathedral.

The OPEN GOLF St. Johann Alpendorf golf club stands for “golf for every guest” – play and relaxation in beautiful surroundings. The course is located in the middle of the Salzburg mountains with a magnificent view of the Tennengebirge. In addition to the ORANGE Course and the
BLUE Course, there is also a spacious driving range with covered teeing grounds, a putting green and a pitching green.

Tennis is just the right sport to switch off from the stresses of everyday life, but also to really let off steam. Forehand cross, backhand along the line, the occasional stop ball just behind the net. A challenge for body, mind and skill. Refreshments in the tennis canteen are a must after an exciting match. Both experts and beginners are welcome. You can play on three tennis courts in St. Johann.

The Tauern Cycle Path is one of the most beautiful cycle paths in Austria and leads from Krimml via St. Johann and Salzburg to Passau. Those who are looking for more challenging tours will also find what they are looking for in St. Johann. Explore the beauty of our unique landscape on the various routes and trails – in between you can relax in one of the alpine huts in the sunshine and enjoy a delicious snack.
