You can take four-legged guests with you on the deck7 terrace on a lead. They are not allowed on the pool deck, sauna & fitness area.

You can take your pet with you on your round of golf. The only requirement is that you put it on a lead.

Traveling with a dog in Austria

In Austria, there is a general leash and muzzle requirement for public areas. In concrete terms, this means that if your dog wears a muzzle when out and about, the leash requirement does not apply.
Muzzles and leads are compulsory on public transport. In residential areas, shopping centers and premises of any kind, dogs must be kept on a lead. Dogs are prohibited in playgrounds.
Dog owners are obliged to remove dog excrement. Dog waste bag stations are widespread in urban areas, but not elsewhere.
Hiking trails are also cleared in winter, i.e. you can go on longer hikes with your dog all year round.
There are several dog beaches in Salzburger Land: Wallersee, Wolfgangsee, Kuchler Badesee, Wiestalstausee, Zellersee, in the rivers: Bluntau, Lammer and Salzach – all outside the bathing areas.
Dogs on vacation in Austria must have an EU pet passport, a valid rabies vaccination and a microchip with identification.
